Britt Ekland Miller began writing African American children
plays after she could not find plays that were positive, uplifting,
and fun. She knew that plays were a perfect way to build high
self-esteem, increase confidence, and teach children how to work
well with others. She also knew that in order for plays to be
effective, they must closely represent the children’s environment,
culture, and community. As a result, Ms. Miller has written and
successfully produced many African American children plays for
several organizations.
Jeffery Bradley is the author of the
acclaimed book entitled “Don’t Worry, Be Nappy! How To Grow
Dreadlocks In America And Still Get Everything You Want. He has
written articles for various newspapers and magazines. Bradley
says, “Blacks in America are unique with special talents,
experiences, and knowledge. We have to share all that we know, so
we can all grow together. Publishing allows me the opportunity to
give back to the community what it gives me.” He lives and works
in Dallas, Texas.
